Lure Coursing
- Lure coursing is a timed sport where dogs chase after a lure that is tied to a line laid out in a course on a field. The line is run through a motor and the speed of that motor is controlled by a technician.
- Tollers can course through the AKC Coursing Ability Test.
- To pass the test, a dog running alone must pursue a lure and complete the course with enthusiasm and without interruption within a given time.
- The CAT judges the instinctual prey drive of your dog. It is a pass/fail test. Either your dog wants to chase the “bunny” or they do not.
