Tollers Available for Adoption

Below are the Tollers we have in our Rescue Program that are available for adoption. There may be occasions when there are Tollers in our program that aren't listed. Generally this is because they are still being evaluated for temperament and health in their foster homes. We encourage you to check back often and complete the Rescue Adoption Application at your earliest convenience.

Chase

April 2013 - Chase

Chase is a young male approximately 2-3 years old.  He was picked up by a Shelter in TN.  Chase is very loving and gentle.  He is leery at first with strangers but once he warms up he is very friendly.  Chase is being fostered outside of Knoxville, TN where he plays enthusiastically with the Foster home’s male Toller!  Chase has been introduced to the Foster’s cat and was not interested in him at all.  Chase has met a couple of young children.  He was a bit leery but allowed them to pet him.  Chase is healthy, up-to-date on all shots, on preventatives, and is neutered.  He is looking for a forever home that can provide him with a lot of love, attention and perhaps a canine playmate

Tiger Lilly

November 2012 - Tiger Lilly - Adopted!

Tiger Lily is located in the Seattle, WA area.  We are looking for a very special family to give this very special senior dog a good home.  Tiger's elderly owner had to give her up due to moving to an assisted living arrangement. She is very sweet and is making the transition well to her foster home.  She likes to go on walks.  Tiger is 12-13 years old.  She is healthy and on no medications.  If you are interested in learning more about Tiger, please contact dsm500@mac.com

Lily traveled to Southern California to her forever home in December

Wally

Wally Standing

November 2012 - Wally - Adopted!

Wally is about 2 years old and loves people and to play but also loves to snuggle.  Wally came to us from a Brittany Rescue in Ohio where he received some basic training. He is neutered, current on his vaccinations and heartworm negative.   Wally is currently in Nicholasville, KY and will not be placed in a home with small children.

In December 2012, our volunteers transported Wally from Kentucky to his new home in New Jersey.

Megan
Megan

November 2012 - Megan - Adopted

Megan is a young female, approximately 1 – ½ years old.  She was picked up as a stray in AL.  She is a sweet girl who loves to play with her foster’s dogs and puppies.  Megan is very gentle with the puppies and seems to really enjoy them.  She has encountered many visitors at the foster’s home and is good with most people but at times needs a little encouragement that all is ok.  For the most part, she ignores the Foster’s cats.  Megan walks on a leash very well.  She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations and ready for her forever home.

Megan found her forever home in Florida in late December 2012.

Layla
Layla 2

October 2012 - Layla - Adopted!

Layla is a young female, approximately one year old.  She was abandon at a dog boarding facility in Gainesville, FL.  The owner of the boarding facility has been fostering Layla and the workers just love her to pieces.  She is very sweet and loves to be around her human friends.  Layla gets along fine with other dogs and has been introduced to cats without any issues.  She has also been introduced to small children and has no problems other than the fact that she is a young girl who wants to play and lick them!  Layla is up to date on vaccinations and is ready for her forever home.

Layla found her forever home in Florida in November.

Max & Maggie

July 2012 - Max and Maggie - aDOPTED!

Max and Maggie are ready to find a home.  Both between 1-2 years of age, healthy, and happy dogs.   Their new owner(s) must be willing to commit the time to some basic training.  Max and Maggie were rescued from a shelter and are currently located north of Houston, TX.   We have little history on the dogs other than they were found together.  They have many Toller qualities but their coat color is a shade that we don't typically see.  They get along well with other dogs and we will consider placing them in homes with children over the age of 5.  We will place them together or separately.

In Ocober 2012. Max and Magge went ttheir seperat ways.  Max flew to his new home in Massachusetts, and on the same day, Maggie flew to her new home in Pennsylvana.

Sandi

January 2012 - Sandi - Adopted!

Sandi is an adult female Toller who was rescued from a shelter in North Carolina.  She has completed her Heartworm treatment, is spayed, and up-to-date on shots.  She is lovely girl looking for her forever home.  Sandi loves to go for car rides, walks, loves people and other dogs but best of all she loves treats, especially peanut butter! She would make a good therapy dog or an affectionate companion.
Sandi would do best in a home without load noises and with someone who loves to cuddle. She is very sensitive and likes to be with her people.  A secure fenced yard is a must.  She is being fostered in South Carolina.

Sandi found her forever home in South Carolina in February 2012.

Maddie

January 2012 - Maddie - Adopted!

Maddy is a female, approximately 18 months old.  She was found wondering around a rural South Carolina neighborhood.  She did have a collar on, but no microchip.  A wonderful family took her in, took her to the Vet, got her spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations.  The Vet's office thought she might be a Toller and the family contacted Toller rescue.  We brought her into our program and with a little obedience work has turned out to be a delightful, sweet dog and play pal to the foster's Toller.  She is being fostered in North Carolina.  UPDATE-Jan 27: Maddie is now being fostered in Pennsylvania.

In late February 2012, Maddie took a road trip to Virginia to her new home.

Rocky

November 2011 - Rocky - Adopted

Rocky was owner surrendered by an elderly  woman who was moving to a nursing home.  Rocky is a 3 year old neutered male that is much smaller than the typical Toller.
He is a wonderful sweet cuddly boy that loves his tennis ball.  He is crate trained.  He does show some anxiety to loud noises (gun shots) and thunderstorms. He is good with children. Rocky also travels well and loves to go. He tested  positive for Lymes disease and Anaplasmosis and has completed treatment for these tick borne diseases. Rocky is currently in Wisconsin.
Rocky went to his forever home in November 2011 in Wisconsin.
Ember

September 2011 - Ember - Adopted

Ember is a 5 year old sweetheart and will be a loving and affectionate companion for her forever family. Ember is a well mannered, knows basic obedience commands (sit/down) and walks nicely on a leash.   Ember gets along well with other dogs.  She is loving and seeks affection, but does show some shyness when meeting strangers.  Ember will not be placed in a home with invisible fencing.   She is being fostered in southern Florida.

Ruban - Head

Ruban - Standing

July 2012 - Ruban - Adopted in September 2012!

Being fostered by North East All Retriever Rescue in Massachusetts

Age: 9 years
Breed: Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever
Color: Golden red
Sex: Neutered male
Size: 45 lbs
Exercise: Moderate
Children: Yes
Cats: No
Other Dogs: Yes
Reason for Surrender: Moving

My name is Ruban. I’m a 9 year old male who is looking for a serious relationship. I’m a very quiet guy and only get noisy when someone knocks at the door.
I like long walks along the beach and the feeling of your closeness as we cuddle on the sand. If you prefer a quiet moment I love to sit on the grass and watch the clouds roll by. Or maybe you prefer to sit by the fire and dream of things to come. I love that!
Stomach rubbing is my favorite thing and I will give you the nicest snuggle in return. I’m not a poet but I’m very handy around the house: my specialty is cleaning the kitchen floor so you’ll never have to scrub it again. Doesn’t that sound great?
My only bad habit is that I like to chase squirrels, chipmunks and birds. But hey, a guy has to have some fun!
